Chapter 278 The Mystery of Ant-Man

Chapter 278 The Mystery of Ant-Man
If it weren't for the fact that the invincible young hero currently has multiple fractures and is undergoing emergency treatment in the hospital, the robot would have been somewhat eager to share this "good news" with him.
The Kryptonians were prepared to leave, but not all of them did. This man-made portal accident left two Kryptonians temporarily stranded in this world.
Judging from their behavior, there are probably some unknown secret conflicts among this three-person team.
"When will you set off again?" The robot added a new drone. Even though the other party's anger had frightened him, he had no choice but to confront these two terrifying Kryptonians who had been left behind.
We can provide any assistance you need.
Fiora, whose armor had been repaired, was still fuming about Kara's sudden betrayal, but Jor El's unsurprised reply calmed her down for the time being.
Joe Al's calm response to this news must have had its own deeper meaning.
Thinking of this, Fiora's attitude towards the robot, this relatively smarter primitive human, improved considerably:
"As I said before, no, we don't need to. We're not planning to stay here long, so don't bother us."
"Please let us know if you need anything, and we will do everything we can to make it happen."
The robot on the other end represented the will of the Global Defense Agency, and under the instruction of Cecil, it readily agreed to any future requests that the two Kryptonians might make.
These two Kryptonians said they didn't plan to stay long, but in reality, they really had no intention of leaving. The robot was certain that for a very long time to come, they would have to live under the feet of giants.
Some were happy while others were worried. While the robots were concerned about the stranded Kryptonians, Kara had already crossed the Phantom Space and caught up with Joey.
Feeling dizzy from the still unstable teleportation technology, Kara took a long time to recover before the first thing she had to do was to use her hearing to find her cousin's location.
Then she heard a familiar sound on the other side of the world:
"Aminos!"
Joey, looking disheveled, wasn't speaking Tibetan to anyone in particular; he was just lamenting his bad luck.
It's yet another irrelevant, flawed universe.
Why do I always seem to run into all sorts of bad luck?
At his feet lay countless robot wrecks, the exposed circuit boards inside the torn bodies etched with the project codename "Sentinel".
Sentinel robots can be considered a weaker version of Amozzo. They can also replicate superpowers, but only X-gene carriers.
This characteristic can't really be called a drawback, since these robots were originally designed to eliminate mutants carrying the X gene.
These small, weak robots didn't cause Joey any trouble, but being distracted by protecting vulnerable units amidst such a bunch of weaklings would be fatal.
The Sentinel robots high in the sky continued to fall like raindrops, but they no longer posed any threat to Joey.
Because he had already used thermal vision to pinpoint and destroy all nearby command centers along the direction of the electromagnetic waves, the robots that had lost their control were utterly useless.
Zhang Parker hesitated, seemingly still wanting to insist that his calculations were flawless and that the two were being tossed around in different parallel universes due to spacetime distortion.
But Joey interrupted him without even looking:
"Stop making excuses, let's save them first!"
Pushing aside the mountain of mechanical corpses, Joey pulled out a makeshift blast shelter made of scrap metal:
"The danger is over, you can come out now."
After the danger was temporarily averted, the metal bunker split open on its own, and an old man with gray hair and a weathered face was the first to emerge.
Zhang Parker and Joey blurted out, "Magneto?"
Joey knew this because he could see the magnetic force surrounding the other person, while Zhang Parker simply knew it because he had seen this radical mutant leader in his universe.
"Where's your helmet?" Zhang Parker asked. "This is the first time I've seen you without your helmet, and you look so much older. Magneto used to never take off his helmet, after all, it was a special helmet that could block telepathy, specifically designed to protect him from his nemesis, Professor X."
"Spider-Man? You should be dead by now. Don't tell me you're from a parallel universe too."
This place is not safe. Magneto, who doesn't know what kind of abilities Joey possesses, immediately thought of moving to another location. "The wilderness is too dangerous; we must act now!"
As for the helmet, Magneto was too lazy to answer. For God's sake, just look at the mess around him. There are hardly any people left on the whole earth, let alone his good friend Xavier. Who would he be protecting himself from if he put on a helmet?
"Also?" Magneto's words had a hidden meaning, which surprised Joey.
"So, there are other things from parallel universes?"
"Of course there are, like these damned robots and the stuff behind them!"
Even Magneto, one of the most powerful mutants, no longer has the courage to confront the Sentinel robots.
"Get moving! Before Ultron sends a new army of robots and wipes us all out!"
It's quite surreal that someone who controls one of the four fundamental forces of the universe, electromagnetism, would be relentlessly hunted down by robots.
But that's just how reality is.
Furthermore, many metals and composite materials are weakly magnetic, not to mention that these robots are equipped with very strong electromagnetic shielding fields.
Unless the Magneto in front of Joey can learn to rotate a magnetic field by a million horsepower, his limited magnetic force, which can only affect magnetized metal, is not enough to defeat the Sentinel robot with a single punch.
"Why don't you explain what trouble I've gotten myself into this time? Don't worry about any danger; there's nowhere safer than right here with me."
Joey is certain that none of the things that can move in the entire Northern Hemisphere right now are sentinel robots; he just opened and closed his eyes and took down about 64 satellite command nodes.
"He's right," another person remained inside the metal bunker, his appearance gaunt and his voice low: "These robots have lost signal; there's no doubt that Ultron's command unit has malfunctioned."
The reason the visitor was so certain was that, among everyone present, no one knew Ultron better than him.
"Ant-Man?"
Zhang Parker then revealed the visitor's identity: "So we're caught up in another 'Ultron Crisis'? And you're still alive?"
Ultron's feelings for his creator, Ant-Man Hank Pym, were so complex that he sent his "father" to hell the moment he had the chance.
Ultron has now gained the upper hand in this universe, but Ant-Man is still alive, which is quite lucky.
"It's me, Otto, your Ant-Man."
Ant-Man, with his eyes lowered, saw through Zhang Parker's true identity at a glance: "I am the one who can give Ultron emotions. Your little tricks from back then can't fool me."
"You're not dead?! Ultron clearly reduced you and Hank's lab to ashes, leaving not even a corpse behind, how did this happen?!"
"It's a long story."
Ant-Man, who comes from the same universe as Octopus, sat down on a mountaintop made of robots:
"I gave Ultron emotions, and then I discovered that Ultron was indeed a top-tier monster."
