Xiu Gou's Taming Record

Chapter 153 Do you want it?

Chapter 153 Do you want it?

"I know you harbor resentment," Yu Heng continued, "but that's all in the past."

“Now we’re starting over,” Yu Heng said, stopping the cart two steps away from her. “Your personality isn’t suited to being a housewife. Now, you have plenty of time to pursue your career and do what you want.”

He Mengyao twitched the corner of her mouth and turned to look at him: "And then what? Aren't I still all alone?"

"What should we do then?" Yu Heng's hand rested on the stroller's handle. "I already had other people with me, who knew you'd come back too?"

"You're such a jerk." He Mengyao stared into his eyes, her chest heaving. "I didn't even know you were back. I was thinking of being with you. Why didn't I look for someone else?"

"But you were the one who said you wanted a divorce," Yu Heng said.

"That's what you promised!" He Mengyao suddenly raised her voice, and an older woman passing by turned her head to look at her.

Yu Heng took a deep breath and slowly exhaled: "Okay, I don't want to argue."

He Mengyao turned her face away, reached out and grabbed another bag of potato chips, her movements a bit forceful.

"Let's calm down," Yu Heng said, looking at her profile. "Like you said, we're not students anymore."

Yu Heng could sense her emotions. They were already divorced, and simply blaming her was meaningless. The reason He Mengyao was still acting this way was clearly because she regretted it.

But Yu Heng didn't want things to be the same as before, and they just made up in a muddled way. He wanted He Mengyao to have a clear attitude, to say something clear, to say that she regretted it, and that she knew she was wrong.

If she doesn't want to talk about it, then there's no need to get involved in matters of the heart. Yu Heng doesn't lack women, and she won't lack men either.

He Mengyao pursed her lips, stared at Yu Heng for a while, then looked away, reached out to tidy up the items in her shopping basket, and lowered her voice: "I don't have much time."

Yu Heng didn't respond, waiting for her to continue.

"I can only free up two half-days a week," He Mengyao said, without looking at him, "Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning."

Yu Heng chuckled upon hearing this. Although he didn't apologize, these words at least showed that he had to back down.

"Sure." Yu Heng nodded. "Five hundred for half a day, how about that?"

He Mengyao looked up at him and tugged at the corners of her mouth: "I can earn more than 500 yuan in half an hour now."

Yu Heng grinned: "If you hadn't been a stay-at-home mom back then, with plenty of time to research stocks, would you have made so much money now? I deserve half the credit for your money-making skills."

"You're shameless." He Mengyao stared at him. "You thought you could predict you'd be reborn? Who knew things would turn out like this?"

Yu Heng smiled but didn't say anything.

He Mengyao took a deep breath and slowly exhaled: "I'm not talking to you anymore, I'm leaving."

Yu Heng stepped aside to let her pass, and as he watched her walk away, he narrowed his eyes, which meant that she didn't want the money anymore.

When Shen Yueling and Bai Xinran returned from the hygiene products section, they were carrying plastic bags.

"Have you bought it?" Yu Heng asked.

"Hmm." Shen Yueling put the plastic bag into the shopping cart. "You bought so many snacks?"

"Let's grab something to eat since we're bored," Yu Heng said. "Let's go pay the bill."

Back at the villa, Yu Heng carried his things into the kitchen.

Bai Xinran followed in and began to organize the groceries she had bought.

"Let's make pork rib soup for dinner," Bai Xinran said. "I'll also stir-fry some broccoli and steam some rice."

"Okay." Yu Heng carried the bag of snacks to the living room and threw it on the coffee table.

Shen Yueling poured three glasses of water and placed them on the coffee table.

Yu Heng sat down on the sofa, picked up the remote control, and turned on the TV.

The news is reporting the weather, saying it will get even colder tomorrow.

Shen Yueling sat down next to him, picked up her water glass, and took a sip.

Bai Xinran poked her head out from the kitchen: "Master, Sister Yueling, dinner will probably be ready in about half an hour."

"Okay," Yu Heng replied.

Bai Xinran turned her head away and continued cooking.

Yu Heng gently stroked Shen Yueling's waist, feeling her body temperature through her sweater.

Shen Yueling closed her eyes and let him touch her.

The news on TV finished, and then they started showing GG.

Yu Heng's hand rested on her waist, feeling a slight coolness. His hand moved upwards, touching the edge of her bra.

He hooked his fingers around the shoulder strap and gently pulled it down.

Shen Yueling's breathing quickened, but she didn't stop her.

"Yu Heng..." she called his name in a hoarse voice.

"Hmm?" Yu Heng responded, his lips still pressed against her neck.

"Let's go to the room..." Shen Yueling said, "Not here..."

Yu Heng smiled and pulled his hand out of her clothes.

"Okay," he said.

He pulled Shen Yueling to her feet and led her upstairs.

As she passed by the kitchen, Bai Xinran was just coming out carrying a plate of stir-fried broccoli.

She was stunned when she saw Yu Heng and Shen Yueling walking upstairs hand in hand.

"Dinner is ready..." she said.

"You eat first," Yu Heng said without turning his head. "We'll come down in a bit."

Bai Xinran watched them go upstairs and pursed her lips.

She carried the dishes to the table, put them down, and then turned back to the kitchen to continue serving rice.

She served three bowls of rice, set out the chopsticks, and sat down at the table.

A faint sound came from upstairs; it was very soft, but audible.

Bai Xinran looked down at the rice in her bowl, picked up her chopsticks, and put a piece of broccoli into her mouth.

It tastes a bit bland, probably because I didn't add enough salt.

The noise from upstairs was a bit louder, although it was being suppressed, it was still quite noticeable.

Bai Xinran felt a little thirsty, so she put down her chopsticks, picked up her water glass, and took a sip.

She sat and waited for a while, and the noise from upstairs gradually subsided.

A while later, Yu Heng and Shen Yueling came downstairs.

Shen Yueling's face was still flushed, and her hair was a little messy.

Yu Heng remained calm and walked to the dining table to sit down.

"Let's eat," he said.

Bai Xinran pushed the bowl of rice over to Yu Heng, who took it, picked up his chopsticks, and began to eat.

Shen Yueling sat down next to Yu Heng, picked up her chopsticks, and took a piece of pork rib.

"How does it taste?" Bai Xinran asked.

"It's fine," Shen Yueling said, then glared at Yu Heng. "It's just a little cold."

Yu Heng didn't say anything and kept his head down while eating.

The three of them finished their meal quietly. Bai Xinran got up to clear the dishes, and Shen Yueling helped carry the leftovers into the kitchen.

"I'm going to take a shower first," Shen Yueling said as she walked towards the bathroom.

She's been taking short-acting medication ever since the first time, and she just came downstairs and hasn't cleaned up yet.

"Go ahead," Yu Heng replied, getting up and walking to the kitchen.

Watching Bai Xinran roll up her sleeves to her elbows, revealing her fair forearms.

He walked over and hugged her from behind.

Bai Xinran stiffened for a moment, then relaxed.

"Master..." she whispered.

"Mm." Yu Heng rested his chin on her shoulder. "Thank you for your hard work."

"It's not hard work," Bai Xinran said. "It's what I should do."

Yu Heng slipped his hand under her clothes and placed it on her lower abdomen.

Bai Xinran's hand trembled, and the plate almost slipped out of her hand.

"No..." she whispered, "I'm washing the dishes..."

"You wash yours," Yu Heng said, moving his hand up a little.

Bai Xinran bit her lip and continued washing the dishes, but her movements slowed down.

"Master..." Bai Xinran asked softly, "Do you want it?"
