Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 126 : Ice cocoon

Chapter 126 : Ice cocoon

A smile formed on my lips as I watched the spectacle unfold. It was evident that the little fairy was purifying my mana, infusing me with a new clarity and strength. At that moment, I felt a deep gratitude towards the small being accompanying me in this important process. With each passing moment, the amount of aura around Elsa's body increased, making her shine even more brilliantly.

Simultaneously, the quantity of translucent white substance emanating from her grew exponentially.

Time passed slowly as Elsa continued to radiate her glow. However, the air around us began to turn extremely cold, and the ground beneath my feet transformed into ice, spreading further as the hours went by. I furrowed my brow, aware that my mana reserves, thanks to the fairy's help, might last a few more hours.

Meanwhile, I observed Lysandra, who was comfortably seated on the ground, enjoying some fruits she had found earlier. Her calm and serene expression contrasted with the cold atmosphere and the process Elsa was undergoing. I couldn't help but feel a slight pang of envy. Up to that moment, I had only had the chance to taste one of those fruits, but it was an extraordinary experience.

When I bit into it, it melted in my mouth accompanied by a mana explosion.

"Do you like it?" I asked with a big smile, trying to hide my feelings of envy. Lysandra glanced at me over her shoulder with indifference, but a smile formed on her face as she savored the fruit. "It's exquisite. Too bad you can't join me now," she replied with a small smile. A sense of determination filled me. "You'll see later," I promised firmly, averting my gaze from her.

I noticed her body trembling slightly under my intense gaze.

The touch of those small, delicate hands on my back pleasantly surprised me. A warm mana, of a vibrant red hue, began to flow into me. It was pure and beautiful, filling me with a comforting sensation. Intense warmth spread throughout my body as I absorbed that revitalizing energy.

Several more hours passed, and just when I thought nothing more surprising could happen, something occurred that left me amazed. From the ground beneath Elsa, an ice cocoon formed. "Stop!" Lysandra exclaimed quickly, interrupting my aura channeling. The ice cocoon enveloped Elsa like a giant egg, leaving the two of us completely bewildered.

"We have already done our part," said Lysandra, letting out a tired sigh as she sat on the cold icy ground. My body wobbled a bit, and I joined her, feeling the cold penetrating my bones. After contemplating the ice cocoon for a few moments, I couldn't help but be curious, and I asked Lysandra, "What do you think will happen now?"

"The awakening of the lineage, that's what will happen now. The previous process was only for her to have enough energy for this to happen. Now we just have to wait for the cocoon to break," explained Lysandra as she took out a fruit from her ring. It was a vibrant red color, similar to a terrestrial strawberry, but much larger.

I nodded and also took out a fruit from my ring. This one was yellow, the size of a watermelon but shaped like a mango. The fruit emitted an ethereal glow and was slightly translucent. When I took a bite, my senses were flooded with ecstasy. "I really think I could live forever eating these fruits," I commented after savoring them for a few minutes.

The fruit disappeared from my hands, and instantly another one appeared in its place. I wasn't worried about running out; after all, I also uprooted some trees and brought them with me.

The second day passed slowly in the underground space, marked by an atmosphere of anticipation and tense calm. Lysandra and I continued to share our magical fruits, savoring their delicious taste as we chatted about various trivial topics to ease the tension of the moment.

We watched the ice cocoon, which showed intermittent signs of activity: sometimes it filled with a bright liquid and then disappeared completely, this process always repeated itself.

The ice cocoon, which had previously been calm and static, began to tremble violently before our eyes. The ice fragments shook and separated with a deafening roar, revealing the interior illuminated by a divine glow. In the center of the cocoon, the figure of Elsa emerged, enveloped in a radiant light that transformed her before our eyes.
