The main reason why the Evies are having a hard time subjugating the Etouldes despite having an overwhelming amount of firepower overall isn't just because they can't use Spiritual Power but that they also can't feel it in the first place and the only known Evie who can perceive them directly was Melvazoa.
So how do they defend against it? By watching everything that's happening in the physical realm. Any time an Etoulde uses their ability, they would affect their surroundings in one way or another and in turn, they'll be able to detect the use of Spiritual Power indirectly. Kisuke hypothesized that all the Evies have great senses because it's a form of adaptation against their biggest adversary.
The other Evies immediately responded and attacked Tenjirou but before they could land, he disappeared once again and reappeared beside Ouetsu.

"No, you don't." Salmeda suddenly extended his right arm and Tenjirou and Ouetsu immediately felt their bodies' weight multiplying causing their feet to sink into the ground. If not for their timely creation of Reiatsu footholds, they would have sunk even further.

The 3 out of the remaining 9 Evies then used this chance to initiate their own assault on the two unknown individuals but as they approached them, they could see them still rather calm, making them hesitate for a bit.
"I don't understand your metrics but I can tell that you're complimenting me." Despite his words, Salmeda didn't really feel anything from it. But since Ouetsu wanted to talk he just let him as it was helpful to his main objective of gathering more information about the unknown individuals who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Salmeda doesn't really get it but a bad premonition has started to clutch his consciousness, "And one of those blades with unique abilities is the sword you're holding?" Nevertheless, Salmeda was still confident with his invulnerability as even someone dangerous like the matriarch of the Luxeux clan had no way of breaking his defense.
Ouetsu suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of Salmeda with his blade raised into the air, "Yep. This girl's ability is to be sharp."
"Hmmph." Salmeda just snorted at him and a blue bubble appeared around him, "What a lousy ability."
Ouetsu chuckled, "Hear that, Sayafushi? You'll have to change his mind." In an instant, the air around Ouetsu drastically changed once again. As he swung down, the sword in his hand completely tore apart the bubble that Salmeda was very proud of, "...Huh?"

As the clueless and lifeless Earth Prime Monarch completely collapsed on the ground, Ouetsu turned around and returned Sayafushi back to his inventory while also reeling in his wildly flaring Spiritual Pressure that could be felt all around the globe, "You truly are strong and could even have made Tenjirou helpless. Sadly, It was a bad match and you're too proud of yourself. Furthermore, I don't really have the hobby of seeing my opponents reach their limits." Ouetsu muttered while walking away from his opponent and fixing his shades.
